Anime:
Watched Suzuka episode 25, a nice coverage on Asahina Suzuka's memory. Particularly like the slapping part from Suzuka on Yamato, where the manga wasn't so obvious, and of course the daring kiss. The finale is next week, 28th Dec. 2005

Saw the snapshots for Mai Otome. This series is definitely better than Mai Hime. Though it wasnt as "serious" as Mai Hime, but the story line is indeed fresh and interesting. I like their concept of Meister otome, over the child concept in Mai Hime. Episode 13 will be air on 5 th of January 2006.

Yakitate!! Japan episode 59 has been pushed to 10th of January. But it will be a double episode, episode 59 & 60, where Suwabara and Monica will be revealed in ninja form to battle Azuma and co. :)

Picked up Gunparade Orchestra, but kinda disappointing. I was expecting it to be more like FMP. The first part, episode 1-9 is about as the group leader who orchestra the mecha battle with alien. The second part is about army riding beasts.

ARIA is airing at episode 12 this week, I still have about 8 episodes which I havent catch up with. It's about Professional gondoliers, Undines, acting as tour guides on the planet Aqua. Akari Mizunashi, the main cast is a gondolier in training of Aria Company. I like the scenic background of this series, it's breath-taking.

Most of the popular current anime are picked up by Anime Express, such as ARIA, Cluster Edge, Mai Otome, Yakitate Japan!, Suzuka Pokemon AG, Yu Gi Oh GX, Naruto and Transformer Galaxy. There are also websites dedicated to each of the anime.

Something about Sora KHII (3 more days)

Sora special forms:



Valour, Wisdom, Master and Final form of Sora.

Sora is depicted in black in KH 2. However, it has been revealed that Sora can merge with either Donald or Goofy or even both for special form. The valour form (red) is the fusion of Sora & Goofy, yielding 2 keybalds. The wisdom form (blue) enable the fushion of Donald & Sora to shot magic with the keyblade. The master form (yellow) is the fusion of all three characters, the moves, one word "Spectacular!!!".

The silver form appeared in one of the magazine, though no information on the fusion was given, but it certainly raise the expectation of the game!

Strongly recommend both sites KH2 and KH Ultimania for fabulous magazine scans and trailers, not to mention all the valuable information.

More is revealed on KH II (5 more days!)

Over this week, a lot has been revealed about the coming KH II, the most anticipating PS 2 console game. Official release date is 22nd Dec. which is next Thursday.




Two good website for latest news and scans are KH2 and KH Ultimania. There are 3 official website for KH 2, depicted on the side bar; Official Square-enix, Official Disney Interactive Japan and the NA Sq. Enix.

What to expect from the coming instalment!

1. Sora merge/fuse with Donald and Goofy. There's the brave, valour and master form. Recently a silver form appeared in a magazine.
2. YRP, Stich Chicken Little and Peter Pan will appear as summon
3. More FF characters involved, with Yuffie and Cloud in FFVII AC costume. Seifer, Raijin, Fujin, Vivi, Auron
4. Better gummi ship adventures (KH ones pretty boring)
5. New worlds wuch as Space Paranoid, Pride Land, Timeless River, Land of Dragon, Port Royal, Disney Castle and much more.
6. 13 FFXIII Characters
7. The overdrive movement is excellent (get a tape to hold your jaw)
8. You get to play Mickey and the mysterios boy.

Need more to convince you to get KH II? Expect more surprise to come!

I"s Pure OST Released

The I"s Pure OST is released today, 14th December 2005. The OST comprises 22 songs produced by Kacky (Marina del Ray). Watched the first DVD, main theme's ok, but I like some of the background music. I have sent in my pre-order. (^o^)

I"s Pure DVD 1: Au Commencement

Just finish watching I"s Pure DVD1, no bad at all. The character designs and background is excellent. Nevertheless, there are still some deform for the characters at certain angle especially far-shot. Near shots were done very well. DVD 1 basically covers the whole Volume 1 of the manga. Some dissappointing things were the omission of certian plots such as thought of Ichitaka and quick coverage of some parts.

Summary:
The anime started with Ichitaka on a street with hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. He was high school third year waiting for his friend, Teratani. He then reminisce about his 1st year in high school and how he met Iori.

I''s Pure DVD 1 Release

I was so happy when they announced I"s Pure production since the last OVA was a failure. Though there are only 6 DVD scheduled, I hope they would be worth watching.

Detective Conan 10th Movie scheduled next year 2006

The 10th movie of Detective Conan (Case Closed in America) is scheduled for 2006. Time sure flies, it's the tenth they are making. 10 years I have been following the series. Ichigo 100% OSTs Review

I dont know why I like this "girly" manga but they are appealing. I have most of the OSTs from this series, so I'll make some comments on them.I'll put links to Playasia since they have more selections from this series.



Ichigo 100% first single is "Kimiiro 100%" (bottom left) which comprises the theme song to the OVA. The top row shows the Character Collection which comprise closing theme of the 4 DVDs by each characters and an audio accompanied by background music. The order of the character collection is Toujo Aya, Nishino Tsukasa, Minami Yui and Kitaooji Satsuki.

The one next to Kimiiro 100% is the Sweet Cafe Radio CD, probably the broadcast selection from the series radio station hours. The other two are the Ichigo 100% Drama Theater Vol.1 and Ichigo 100% Drama Theater Vol.2, mostly audio extracted from the anime TV series.

FMP OSTs Review

Full Metal Panic is too popular not to be known by anime fans. Post the OSTs for FMP series(too lazy to do for the DVDs).




I like all the themes of FMP series; FMP, FMP Fumoffu and FMP TSR. Personal favourite would be "Tomorrow" from FMP and "Minami Kaze" from FMP TSR. As usual, these OSTs can be acquired from both Yesasia and Playasia. Yesasia only has FMP Fumoffu OST and FMP TSR OST last time I visited. So Playasia would be best option for FMP OSTs.

The DVDs can be purchased from a lot of places, AnimeFan and Ollin have links and comments to them, so do visit them. Of course, Yesasia and Playasia have them too, to a certain amount.

AMG DVDs and OSTs Review

AMG Season 2 is set to be air in Japan next year 2006. So I think I'll just post some pictures of the DVDs and the OSTs. I'll add some recommendations and comments.

My interest is in OSTs so I'll make comments on the OSTs, but the DVDs are excellent too. The AMG single Open Your Mind - Chiisana Hane Hirogete by Yoko Ishida's is best for those whose only like the opening theme. The other single WING, the closing theme wasn't that appealing. AMG OST and OST2 are excellent collectibles for AMG fans. They comprise all the OST and background music for the anime TV series. The 3 variety albums would be nice additions to the collection if one is fluent in Japanese and a fan of AMG.

There are 8 R2 DVDs with 3 episodes on each DVD. The R1s are more appealing with 5 episodes in each DVD.

AMG R2 DVD can be purchased at Amazon JP, Yesasia and Playasia. I think DVD empire has R1s but MediaBlaster has only produced up to DVD 3(up to Episode 15) at the moment. Playasia has advertised all the R2 DVDs.

I would higly recommend the OSTs being purchased from Playasia(personal favourite) and Yesasia.

ichigo 100% set

The complete collection of ichigo 100% manga by Mizuki Kawashita. The chinese version is up to volume 17 for now.

Suzuka OSTs

I think I'll order Suzuka OST 1 and OST 2 from Yesasia.

Ichigo 100% OST and I"s Pure OST will be available in December and January respectively.

I recommend either Yesasia or Play-asia for these order. Yesasia offers free shipping while Play-asia price and shipping cost is attractive. Both delivery service is recommendable from my own experience.
