Nendoroid Yui Hirasawa

Yui Hirasawa, the lead guitarist from the K-ON! anime. Received my second K-on! Nendoroid figure yesterday.

There are three (3) facial expressions in total, the original cheerful, sobbing and 'cool' one. There are additional 3 arms, 2 hands and 2 legs components available for pose changing. The set also features her electric guitar, guitar strap and amplifier.

This figure was ordered from ebay as I didnt manage to pre-order from Hobby Search nor HLJ. I had the opportunity to order it a couple of day before its release at Hobby Search but I had paid for at ebay, and didnt want to risk it.

Nendoroid Mio Akiyama

Mio Akiyama, the bass guitarist from the K-ON! anime.

Received my first Nendoroid figure last month. Love to get all four and then display as a band!!!

There are 3 facial expressions including the crying expression. Four additional hand/arm components are available for pose changing. The set also features her bass guitar, guitar strap and amplifier.

I only managed to pre-order Mio and Tsumugi from Hobby Search. Had to pre-order from someone through ebay for Ritsu and Yui... hope still can get it.

Fate Unlimited Codes- Saber Lily

The Saber Lily which I ordered back in has arrived. Was surprised that the shipping is cheaper than i thought, not to mention the big box. But the figure is expensive, 8866 Yen for early bird. The figure come with Caliburn and Excalibur as well as Avalon.

It's discontinued now... maybe they will release again in near future????

ARIA Winter Version

The gashapon arrived on Tuesday and I was glad to have purchase this. The mini-figures are well crafted and done. It's a lot better than Toyswork which I glad I didnt get.

I was lucky to get another set of the popular young undines; Akari, Aika and Alice as spare since each box comprises 10 figures of 7 types.

It's now backordered at HLJ.

Just realized that my Gift Saber 1/8 PVC has been shipped by Hobby Search. This should be painful with EMS and weak AUD dollars. Managed to applied around 1176 point and cut 1/3 the shipping cost.

Nevertheless, I also place early bird pre-order for Saber Lily Avalon figure.

Final Fantasy Mini Collection 3

The Final Fnatasy Mini collection No. 3 arrived with my ARIA Best selection Piano book on the 6th January 2009. That's the day someone bumped into the car at my rear and that car bumped into me, so unlucky. The 3rd collection features Tidus, Rikku, Aerith, Balthier and Fran.


The heroes of Final Fantasy VII, VIII, X & VII with their weapon of choice, except for Vaan the slacker.


The heroines of Final Fantasy VII, VIII, X & VII.


Current collection from all 3 mini collections. The fourth box has not been revealed yet. We still got the following characters, though I think they'll concentrate on human characters.

Remaining characters:
* Sephiroth, Vincent, Barett, Red XIII, Cait Sith, Cid, Yuffie (FF7)
* Quitis, Selphie, Zell, Irvine, Laguna, Kiros, Ward, Seifer (FF8)
* Surprisingly no characters from FFIX
* Wakka, Lulu, Kimahri, Paine (FFX, FFX-2)

My prediction of the next 5 designs for Collection 4 is from Sephiroth or Vincent, Yuffie, Selphie, Wakka and Paine.

Griffon Belldandy Figure

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Ah! My Goddess, Griffon has scheduled a Belldandy figure in March 2009 (which will then be 21st anniversary. The figure looks quite nice but I dont fancy the dress as it resembles something.Nevertheless, it's a worthwhile figure if you have about $US123 or 11800 Yen to spare excluding shipping charges.

Anyway, with the current exchange rates and the ownership of 2 Belldandy figures, I'll skip this one.

Saber Gift Figure

If I can I really want the pearl white version Saber that comes with the Fate Unlimited Code. But I dont wanna buy the game just for the figure.

Back to the topic, there's a new figure revealed today, the Gift Saber 1/8 figure scheduled for December release. I'm skeptical of Gift figure as I haven't come across much figure release by Gift. Nevertheless, it's good find this on GSC website. Hopefully, the quality's good given the affiliation? Anyway, the figure has exactly what I want, silver armour, full dress with crystal-like skirting and the sword. The risk that I'm taking;
1. The figure facial expression might turn out tasteless
2. The metalic armour may turn out rough and ugly
3. Figure turn out 80% uglier than the promo figure.


I prefer the facial expression on the right.

Nevertheless desptite all the risk I'm taking i have pre-ordered the Gift figure, cause it has the style and accessories that I want. If the quality comes out good, then I'll be overjoyed in December, else ......

Final Fantasy Trading Arts Mini 2

Hurray, got my FFmini2 and Gundam fine markers today.

The collection comprises 9 mini figures of 5 characters; Squall, Auron, Tifa, Ashe and Basch. I got doubles except for Basch which is good and I gave them to my brother, lucky him. I would have to say Auron is my favourite in this collection given the sunglasses and his attire up to his neck.


Squall Leonhart, not bad but I would expect better gunblade quality and also more metalic to his accessories. .


Auron, my favourite in this series. The hand is detachable. It dropped and I thought it was broken but It wasn't. Phew! The brilliant red colour sure make it more outstanding.


How I wish the FFVII characters are in their FFVII Advent Children fashion. Tifa looks so much better in her AC attire. .


Ashe looks very nice in certain angle but in another angle her lip's a bit weird in a way.


Basch, my least favourite character in FFXII and also in this collection. Face just doesnt seem quite right????

Pleased with this series and looking forward to more FF Trading Arts Mini in near future.

By the way, the Gundam fine markers arrived at the same time, time to crack open my Extreme Blast Gundam Destiny and get it rolling!!!!!!!!!! (My brother nags at me constantly for not starting the assembly!)

Megahouse Punit Collection Alicia & Aika

This morning, collected my Megahouse Punit Aria Collection series 2 featuring Alicia and Aika. My impression was Aika was darn ugly!!!. As mentioned, the figures look like a barbie doll. Again, I was disappointed with were the uniform and the cap.

Shining Wind Kureha

At last, something interesting from this lazy blogger.... :p

I'm glad that Kotobukiya release this figure as I'm not keen on getting 1/7 Max Factory Kureha. I like the figure very luch, not only is the colour appealing, the fashion and style are excellent in my opinion. I was surprised that the figure can be detached... you see what I mean later.

It's still in stock at HLJ. I do recommend this for Shinning Wind fans.








Now........... the detachment....

Disappointed? No panty shot? Ha ha.. I guess the detachment is such that otakus can have their fanservices as the skirt can be removed!

P/S: Didnt expect that the Kureha figure arrived earlier than the Gundam Marker. In fact I was wrong, Kureha should arrive earlier as it should be. I mistaken Kureha figure order as the FF Mini collection 2 order, that's why!!!
